By taking the blue pill, everything will remain the same as it was. Nothing new will happen except being left alone, clueless, with Patrick Star. Anyway, as the saying goes — ignorance is bliss. At the very least, you will not experience any undesirable situations.
But to take the red pill means the revelation of many truths, both pleasant and unpleasant.
What about the truth? — Internet marketing is not as magical as the fake gurus of dark alleys have described it to be.
Yes, creating wealth online, or at least earning a living, is possible. But it will not happen in a snap.
Unless you’re one of the early adopters of Bitcoin, no one can make millions out of the internet overnight. The chances of replicating “their achievements” are like hoping for pigs to fly.
But, as you know, fake gurus will wrap overnight success within a course; you’ll be a sucker if you buy into this illusion!
Remember, like any other way, hard work and many other constructive habits are essential to make money online.
And just like any other business, a plan of action is a must-have to become a successful internet marketer.
Again, there is no magic pill. I will only give you the red pill in the form of tips to get you started on your quest online.

As said earlier, there are lots of fake gurus online that sell fluff.
Remember, most fake gurus gear their make-money-online courses towards newbies, because why not?
Newbies are prone to shiny object syndrome; fake gurus know that, and they will exploit the fact to their advantage.
I’m no stranger to this. I thought I knew better, but I was wrong.
See, back then, there was this “new course” launching webinar co-hosted by a guru I knew.
And because I knew the guy, carelessly, I trusted the other two he’s with and got so excited about the opportunity they are promoting.
Given the situation, I never thought the co-host guru I’m talking about could also become a fake guru at some point. The only reason that I was on the webinar in the first place is because of him.
Something distracted me!
During the webinar, he shared his screen with his “newly built store.” The number of sales I saw kept on increasing in real-time!
The “guaranteed income” amazed me! And so I thought.
But it’s all for show. I got blindsided, and it cost me over three grand!
Did the program worked for me? — No. Aside from the fact that what they’re teaching isn’t new as claimed, the webinar didn’t mention that I still have to spend double the absurd amount that I shelled out to “hopefully make the program work” for me.
Now that I did the unthinkable, I hope that’s a lesson that you won’t experience yourself.
Although not everything you see on the internet is believable, still, it’s your job to find reliable courses and mentors to get you started and become a success in internet marketing.
Research Unique Ways of Internet Marketing
The internet is a vast space of opportunities, which means there are many ways to make money.
Also, there are many legitimate courses online that could help you get started.
These courses could be lessons about dropshipping, creating valuable courses, selling digital products like eBooks and software, or becoming an affiliate marketer.
Other low-cost avenues are blogging, vlogging, becoming a social media influencer, or just creating websites to integrate with your existing brick and mortar business.
You can test every option, but do it one at a time.
Whatever the case, don’t be like Jack, who knows all trades but a master of none.
And don’t get bogged down by analyzing everything to the point of being paralyzed and accomplishing nothing. It will only make internet marketing more confusing.
The result? — Making money online will never see its light.
The best practice is to pick one that interests you and give your all on it. And please do your diligent research if it is the right fit.
Don’t Let Yourself Be Overwhelmed
The internet is overflowing of information. Too much for one person to handle!
Take YouTube, for example. On the search bar, type any topic that interests you.
So, how many results came back?
With too much information from both related and unrelated stuff, it’s easy to get sidetracked.
Before you know it, you will drift off-topic from your initial purpose of searching.
Information overload at its best! It’s overwhelming, I know.
And there is more of it when you are learning internet marketing.
It is where a course on the subject comes in handy.
Now, why do you have to enroll in courses versus looking for free tutorials on YouTube?
— Courses will help you get to where you wanted, step-by-step. And, most of the time, you will get more insights that you will never find on YouTube.
With guided help and direct approach, you will learn faster than the person scraping the needed information here and there.
Do not let yourself get overwhelmed with too much information online. And learn how to FOCUS.
Practice makes it permanent

Don’t do everything in one sitting, though.
If you are learning from a course, all you need to do is to follow along every step.

Perfecting specific skills will take time, but you still have to take everything to heart.
Practice every skill you gain to where it becomes ingrained in your memory.

Keep in mind too that the course of your choice should not promise you a get-rich-quick system.
The real one will be upfront that every result you’ll make will take time. And when it is due, these courses can help create one or multiple streams of income for you.
